EVA App - Bluetooth Foot Pedal

SANE users can use a Bluetooth foot pedal device in order to capture images and videos during an examination.

In order to capture an image or start/stop a video, tap the left pedal. Bluetooth icon should appear near the camera icon, indicating that the pedal is connected.
In order to take zoom in, tap on the right pedal.
In order to zoom out, tap on the right pedal until you get to the max zoom in. Then, tap again and perform zoom out. Every tap is another zoom step.

Note: Bluetooth pairing only needs to be done once. Screenshots may vary depending on your Android version and the Foot Pedal model.

Log in to the EVA App.
Start a forensic exam.
Navigate to the camera screen.
Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the device settings bar.
Turn on the Foot Pedal.
Press the Mode button (#2) with the Up/Down arrows.
Press the RESET button on the Foot Pedal to make it discoverable.
The five LEDs will flash in sequence while the pedal is in discovery mode.
In the EVA Plus device, long press on the Bluetooth icon.
The list of paired Bluetooth devices will appear.
Select "Dual Pedal" from the list. Once connected, 'Connected as input device' will appear under the paired Foot Pedal.
On the EVA camera screen, a Bluetooth icon should appear near the camera icon, indicating that the pedal is connected.

'Connected devices' screen will appear. Tap on 'Pair new device'.
Select "Dual Pedal" from the list. Confirm the pop-up message. The paired Foot Pedal will appear under 'Connected devices'. Tap "Back" to return to the EVA App.
On the EVA camera screen, a Bluetooth icon should appear near the camera icon, indicating that the pedal is connected.
